First Friday Forum Series: Census 101: Why your students' answers matter!

A new decade means a new Census count for the nation. What many of our adult learners don't consider is that an accurate Census count can result in more than additional representatives in government, it means more money for schools, health clinics, fire departments, roads and more. What teachers, tutors and volunteers hear from their students is concern, apathy and even fear about what being counted means for them. Teachers throughout the community have an amzaing opportunity to help alleviate our students worries by being informed and equipped to answer their questions.

For February's First Friday Forum, join Tarrant Literacy Coalition and Cynthia Cruz, Senior Partnership Specialist with the Dallas Regional Census Office, as she provides a comprehensive overview of Census 2020, as well as tools and resources that you can bring back to your classroom and learners.

We hope you'll join us at Cornerstone Assistance Network on February 7 at 9:00 AM to network and learn- you'll be glad you did!
