Many Voices: Facilitating Learning in Adult Education
Changing the Focus
This training will cover a wide range of topics, similar to the "Train the Trainers" offered last April. In addition, it will cover the principles of participatory learning. Participatory learning shifts the focus from a teacher-directed model of instruction to the learner as the center of his own learning. By incorporating the principles of participatory learning, programs can offer instruction relevant to the needs of the adult learner and support gains in academic progress as well as student retention.

Registration
$8 per person
Deadline to register is September 8, 2010
In order to accommodate as many programs as possible, registrations will initially be limited to two participants per program. If space is available after the registration deadline, this limit will be waived. Advance registration and payment is required -- placement will be on a first come, first served basis. If the class fills up prior to September 8th, a waiting list will be established. Upon receipt of registration and payment, you will be sent additional materials to read and complete prior to the start of class to help you prepare for this learning experience.
