I recently had the great pleasure to sit down with Dr. Kurk Gayle, who has developed a wonderful no-tuition, no-location intensive English Language Learning program called "Dialogue: The English Language School of the People." What is Dialogue all about, you may ask? Dialogue is a new, online school for adults who want strong English language skills and have plans for post-secondary education. The teacher is a real person, live, and you learn in real time. Dialogue is not an app, nor is it a video you watch alone. Learners join from a smartphone or a computer, anywhere. And learners never pay.
Dialogue's Three Promises:
- No cost. Classes are free, always. Donors pay so learners never do.
- No travel. Join live from home, or anywhere, on a phone or computer.
- Yes intensive. Focused full four weeks of live study.
WHAT IT ASKS, WHAT YOU NEED, WHEN YOU MEET:
What it asks: You with your cohort of just 11 other learners, and your 1 instructor, commit to 18 hours a week together, so your English improves fast.
What you need: A smartphone or computer, internet, a camera and microphone, and a quiet place to learn.
When you meet: Before your first day together, you and the twelve others — your instructor and your 11 tele-classmates — decide which four or five days to meet and whether in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
There will be ten monthly sessions, with each session lasting four weeks with a total of 12 learners:

Each session is a four-week cohort of 12 learners.
