 irus that was rapidly spreading but we had no idea the impact it would hav
 e on our families\, our friends\, our communities\, our students\, and our
 selves. As 2020 progressed\, we learned new ways to show resilience\, we m
 arveled at the determination of our students to continue their studies\, a
 nd we all struggled with and later celebrated success over the digital lan
 dscape! \n\nSince 2004\, the Metroplex Literacy Conference has brought you
  the best in innovative\, engaging\, and classroom-tested instruction and 
 professional development. It is an opportunity to meet new colleagues\, to
  share ideas\, and to come away emboldened to advocate for our adult learn
 ers. This year\, we wanted to bring you something a little different\, but
  something of immense value to our friends working in adult education clas
 srooms throughout North Texas.\n\nWe are partnering with our friends and s
 tatewide advocates at Literacy Texas to bring you fresh and new perspectiv
 es from unique parts of the state. We encourage you join us for virtual fu
 ll-day symposiums from the South Texas Literacy Coalition (February 20th) 
 and the East Texas Literacy Council (February 27th). The two completely fr
 ee events are not to be missed.\n\nWhile we will miss the smiles and camar
 aderie by not seeing you in-person this March\, know that your friends at 
 HOPE Literacy\, Dallas Baptist Association\, Literacy ConneXus and Tarrant
  Literacy Coalition will be back and better than ever in 2022 – mark your
