 is one that cannot be overstated.  In our community\, adults who struggle 
 with reading and writing\, who do not have a high school diploma or equiva
 lent\, or who lack sufficient English language skills very often live in p
 overty as they strive to get and keep a job that will provide them and the
 ir children with any level of economic security.  \n\nWe invite you to joi
 n us in this unique opportunity to spend a day with an expert in the field
  as we take a closer look at these two issues and how they impact our work
  in literacy.  \n\nElia Moreno\, author of Living Intentionally\, is our k
 eynote speaker/trainer for this event. As the Community Engagement Manager
  for Cal Farley’s\, America’s largest privately funded child and family su
 pport provider\, specializing in both residential and community-based serv
 ices\, Elia works with families who are facing a wide range of issues\, in
 cluding low literacy.  She has implemented a program to help parents obtai
 n their high school equivalency certificate and go on to achieve financial
  independence by working with community partners who come alongside them i
 n their journey.\n\nFollowing a morning with Elia\, we will share a workin
 g lunch and spend the afternoon in small group discussions to identify str
 ategies to use the information she has shared with us to enhance our liter
 acy work in the DFW area.  \n\nAdvance registration is required and space 
 is limited.  \nAttendance at the conference is free\; on-site lunch is ava
 ilable for $10 per person.\n\n Please indicate which lunch option you woul
