 h Learning Disabilities is a one-day workshop designed to address student-
  and program-specific problems regarding the effective and appropriate pro
 vision of services for adult students with learning disabilities. The form
 at of the program includes both small and large-group discussions\, as wel
 l as numerous individual and small-group activities to practice various in
 structional strategies.  This workshop includes information about multisen
 sory instruction for basic skills\, metacognitive skills instruction\, usi
 ng assistive technology to augment learning and processing needs\, and onl
 ine resources for educational and workplace needs.  \n\nPresenter: Patti W
 hite\, Disabilities Project Manager\, Arkansas Adult Learning Resource Cen
 ter\n\nIn her position as Disabilities Project Manager\, Patti provides va
 rious disabilities related training and individual student consultation fo
 r adult education and literacy programs in Arkansas.  Patti's accomplishme
 nts include assisting in the development of the nationwide Bridges to Prac
 tice learning disabilities training project as well as the training and im
 plementation of that project in 15 states. Patti presents at numerous stat
 e and national conferences and serves on committees that oversee critical 
 aspects of topics related to learning disabilities in adulthood. \n\nPatti
 's approach to training and professional development is very practical\, s
 o attendees at this session can be assured that they will enjoy a day fill
 ed with practical applications\, resources\, and strategies to help their
