 of Literacy and Learning has granted funds to our area to provide Learning
  to Achieve for instructors in our community on Thursday & Friday\, June 2
 0-21\, 2013.\n \nThis training is designed to help GED\, ESL and Adult Bas
 ic Ed instructors gain a new understanding of the difficulties experienced
  by adult learners who struggle with learning disabilities.  The training 
 will include three different modules:\n \n·   Self-Determination (will hel
 p educators gain an understanding of the importance of self-determination 
 and learn strategies to help their learners develop the motivation and sel
 f-confidence to pursue and succeed in education and employment)\;\n·    Ex
 plicit Instruction (will explore specific practices that are important in 
 explicit instruction for strategy learning for adults)\;\n·     Reading Di
 sabilities (will cover the considerations and strategies in each of the co
 mponent areas of reading to effectively work with adults who struggle).\n 
 \nThe training will be held at First Baptist Church of Arlington\, 301 Sou
 th Center St.\, Arlington\, TX 76010.\n \nREGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 24 PA
 RTICIPANTS.  \nCOST IS $10 PER PERSON\, WHICH COVERS AFTERNOON SNACKS AND 
 LUNCH ON FRIDAY.\nTHE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS MONDAY\, JUNE 10\, 2013.  \n

  payment and parking details.\n
